The term "sharing economy" has, in a short few years, shifted from a buzz-word usedto describe a novel business model made possible by exponential advancements in communications technology to an entry in our everyday lexicon.
The businesses built on this model have become the subjects of endless regulatory scrutiny andprotracted legal battles. They've grown into what many deem existentialthreats to entrenched business models.
