Born in India, moved to China in 1993 with his mother Mrs. Jasminder Kasturia, Aishwarya Kasturia (Aish/柯大龙) is conversant in English, Mandarin, Hindi and other Indian dialects. Aish attended the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China from 2003-2008 and graduated with bachelors in Economics and a Chinese Language diploma. During university, Aish participated in many activities such as internships, Toastmasters, part time jobs and was also the Chairman of the International Students’ Student body for the university from 2006-2007.
After graduating in 2008, during the peak of the financial crises, Aish was fortunate to find a job in Consulting, with Capgemini, based in China, covering Greater China and Asia Pacific markets. In January 2011 Aish joined Siemens where he worked in various departments such as the Mergers, Acquisitions, Joint Venture and Liquidation (M&A) department, Energy Generation, Transmission and Distribution sectors/divisions as M&A associate, Strategy Analyst, Management Trainee etc. being responsible for various roles during his tenure in the company. In 2015 he joined Abacare Group Limited, a leading international broker insurance company in Asia, first as General Manager of Shanghai then Beijing branches, responsible for managing people from over 17 nationalities, with full legal, profit and loss responsibility for the branches in China. Aish is also an active Rotarian and has worked on social projects in China and various other countries. He has already travelled to twenty countries and hopes to expand this exposure in the coming years.
Aish was recommended by his friend and mentor Mr. David Peng class of ‘87 and TIAA member, to apply to Thunderbird. After graduation Aish aspires to continue to work with leading individuals in the financial services industry around the world, to have a challenging and wholesome professional career.
Hannah received her BA in History and Psychology from the University of Denver in 2013. It was during this time that she became interested in the Middle East, studied Arabic, and wrote her thesis on the Arab-Israeli conflict. Hannah also earned her English language Teacher’s certification and taught English to foreign students.
Upon graduation Hannah was hired full time at an electrical contracting company where she worked as an administrative assistant and was quickly promoted to project coordinator. Hannah was offered an opportunity to move to Muscat, Oman to teach elementary school for two years and immerse herself in the Middle Eastern culture. Hannah returned to the electrical contracting company as a project coordinator and was soon promoted to a marketing and business development position.
Hannah decided to attend Thunderbird and earn a Master’s degree in Global Management in order to pursue her interest in working in the Middle East.
My name is Melissa Williams and will be graduating from Thunderbird in May 2019. I graduated Arizona State University in December 2009 with a degree in Anthropology and Political Science. Since then I have been working in the Global Transportation Field, specializing in Pricing and Logistics in the Ocean Container Shipping Industry. In my spare time I like to spend time with my family, travel and run.
